The luxury lineup new movie ‘Women Talking‎’ released a poster, the power of holding hands.

‘Women Talking’ starring & produced by Frances McDormand and starring Rooney Mara, Claire Foy, Jessie Buckley, Ben Whishaw, Judith Ivey, Sheila McCarthy, Michelle McLeod and others star in the film, directed & written by Sarah Polley (‘Away from Her’ ‘Take This Waltz’) and produced by MGM’s Orion Pictures and Plan B.

The film will have a small Northern America release on Dec. 2 and an expanded release on Dec. 25, and will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Based on the best-selling book of the same name by Miriam Toews, ‘Women Talking’ tells the story of a remote religious colony where hundreds of women have been sexually assaulted for years, and some learn that they were drugged and attacked by men in their own community.

To protect themselves and their daughters from further harm, these women decide to take steps to try to raise enough money. But the women are illiterate, know nothing about the world outside their community, and do not even speak the language of their country.

The women have little time to make a choice: stay in the only world they know or dare to escape.

Published in 2018, the novel was named a Best Book of the Year by ‘The New York Times Book Review’, NPR, ‘Washington Post’, Slate Magazine, ‘Publishers Weekly’ and other leading publications.
