As “Top Gun: Maverick” debuted at the Cannes Film Festival, the Cannes Organizing Committee awarded Tom Cruise an honorary Palme d’Or as a surprise tribute to him.
The screening of “Top Gun: Maverick” was also greeted with a five-minute standing ovation, with Tom Cruise saying: “A great night, a great time.”
