Disney’s “Percy Jackson and the Olympians‎” picks a leading actor: “The Adam Project” child star Walker Scobell will star in this teenage fantasy series.

The author of the novel, Richard Russell Rick Riordan, once said that the series will be more in line with the original work than the movie. Scobell, who is 13 years old this year, is indeed more in line with the novel’s 12-year-old setting, while the movie version starring Logan Lerman is set to be 16 years old.

Earlier this year, Disney+ officially gave the green light to a full season of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians‎” with plans to adapt five books of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians.”

The story tells the story of Percy, a smart, compassionate and humorous teenager who is at odds with the people around him due to ADHD and dyslexia. He turns out to be the son of Poseidon, the sea god in Greek mythology, and his human wife.

The previous film version of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians‎” starred Logan Lerman and others, and the author of the novel has repeatedly expressed dissatisfaction.

For this episode, Riordan has revealed that he will participate in many aspects, and the drama version will be more loyal to the original work and follow the story line of the first series of the novel.

Season 1 will begin with “The Thief of Fire” – Percy’s quest to find the Thunder of Zeus and stop the war between the Greek gods.
