Daniel Kokotajlo, who once became the hottest newcomer director in the UK for directing “Apostasy”, has a new work planned. It is reported that he will direct a supernatural horror film called “Starve Acre”.

The film stars Matt Smith and Morfydd Clark.

Based on the novel by Andrew Michael Hurley, the film is set in rural England in the 1970s, where Richard and Juliette lead an idyllic family life.

An unexpected discovery soon catches the couple’s attention, and dark and sinister forces unknowingly enter the home.

Daniel Kokotajlo made his debut, Apostasy, in 2017.

The film has won a lot of awards in the UK, and it has been nominated for four British Independent Film Awards, Academy Awards and London Film Critics Association Awards.
