“Spider-Man: No Way Home” ranks third in the film history in the early box office in North America

“Spider-Man: No Way Home” ranks third in the film history in the early box office in North America, and its box office will exceed 200 million in the first week of its release.

Marvel and Sony’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home” North America scored $50 million in advance on Thursday (starting at 3 pm). This is second only to “Avengers 4” at $60 million (starting at 6 pm) and “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” at $57 million (starting at 6 pm), ranking third in movie history.

The media predicts that the box office of “Spider-Man: No Way Home” will be between 115 million and 120 million U.S. dollars on the first day and will exceed 200 million U.S. dollars in the first weekend.

The film surpassed the early box office score of “Black Widow” by US$13.2 million and became the best early box office performance in North America during the epidemic.

“Spider-Man: No Way Home” is much higher than the $15.4 million of “Spider-Man: Homecoming” (2017) that was released during the non-epidemic period.

The media predicts that the box office of “Spider-Man: No Way Home” in North America is expected to reach 120 million U.S. dollars on the first day. What level is this equivalent?

The record for the first day of North American film history is maintained by “Avengers 4” at $157 million. The second runner-up is “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” at $119 million, and the third runner-up is “Avengers 3” at $106 million.

Considering the epidemic situation, it is difficult for “Spider-Man: No Way Home” to hit North America’s first weekend box office record. The current North American first weekend box office TOP10 are:

  1. “Avengers 4” US$357 million
  2. “Avengers 3” US$257 million
  3. “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” $247 million
  4. “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” $220 million
  5. “Jurassic World” 208 million US dollars
  6. “Avengers” US$207 million
  7. “Black Panther” US$202 million
  8. “The Lion King” US$191 million
  9. “Avengers 2” $191 million
  10. “The Incredibles 2” $182 million
  11. “Spider-Man 3” 151 million US dollars (has created a record for the first weekend in North America)

“Spider-Man: No Way Home” If the decline on Saturday and Sunday is well controlled, it will not be a big problem for North America to enter the top 5 movie history at the box office at the first weekend.

In addition, the film earned 114.2 million U.S. dollars in two days in non-North American regions, and its global box office is expected to exceed 500 million U.S. dollars.
