The Northern America market grossed $91.6 million overall last week, up 47 percent from a year ago, but still 29 percent behind pre-epidemic 2019.

‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ bad word-of-mouth dragged down the film’s next week box office, but the first two episodes of ‘Ant-Man’ were not box office hits, so ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ didn’t perform badly in comparison this time.

‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ Northern America currently has a cumulative total of $167 million and will soon surpass ‘Ant-Man’s’ cumulative Northern America box office of $180 million, eventually surpassing ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp ‘s 216 million Northern America box office is not a big problem.

In overseas markets, ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ was down 57% in 52 markets worldwide the following week compared to last week, a slightly better controlled decline than Northern America.

Mainland China ranked first with $31.5 million, the United Kingdom ranked second with $17.8 million, and Mexico, South Korea and France ranked third to fifth.

‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ has now accumulated $364 million worldwide, and due to the film’s really poor word-of-mouth, it may end up close to ‘Ant-Man’s’ $519 million, unable to catch up to ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’s’ $622 million.

Universal’s R-rated comedy-action release ‘Cocaine Bear’ had an opening weekend of $23.26 million, not bad for a film that cost around $30 million.

‘Cocaine Bear’ Rotten Tomatoes freshness of 70%, the audience popcorn index of 75%, CinemaScore rating B-.

Jesus Revolution’ opened at $15.8 million ranking third, due to the Christian gospel film, although Rotten Tomatoes freshness of only 55%, but the audience popcorn index of 99%, CinemaScore rating A +.
