ABC seems to be having a good time when Will Smith slaps presenter Chris Rock during the 94th Academy Awards this year. Erwich said he thought it was “a really successful year for the show”.

“My assessment of the Oscars is that it’s been a very successful year. There’s been a lot of controversies and a lot of positive things from the show, but I’m really happy with it and we’re back with a lot of fanfare.”

The 95th Academy Awards has yet to be finalized, and ABC Entertainment president Craig Erwich is open to whether Chris Rock will be returned to host next year.

After the incident, it not only dominated the hot search on Twitter, but the number of viewers nearly doubled after the incident. As the broadcaster, ABC’s popularity and ratings have skyrocketed, so it’s understandable to be happy. It’s just that the host, the American Academy of Motion Picture and Arts, is having a headache.
