Laura Linney, Woody Harrelson and Nico Parker (‘Dumbo’) will star in the new film ‘Suncoast’, produced by Searchlight, which will start shooting in September.
Laura Chinn (‘Florida Girls’) makes her directorial debut in this film, having written a script that made the 2020 screenplay blacklist, inspired by her own life in the early 21st century.
‘Suncoast’ follows a teenage girl (Parker) living with her strong-willed mother (Linney), who struggles to ensure her sick brother stays in a professional institution.
During a protest around a controversial medical case, she forms an unlikely friendship with an eccentric activist (Harrelson).
