According to media reports, “The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special” has recently started filming in Atlanta and will be available for Disney streaming later this year.
Director James Gunn also revealed that the crew has begun filming cameo content for big-name characters for “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3”, which will be released on May 5, 2023, and is specially customized for fans.

Judging from the pictures exposed by the foreign website The Direct, at least part of the story of “The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special” takes place on Earth, with some Christmas decorations and crashed cars on the set photos.
