George R R Martin reveals why ‘9 Voyages’ was renamed ‘Sea Snake’

George Raymond Richard Martin has revealed that “9 Voyages”, one of the “Game of Thrones” spin-offs in development, has been renamed “Sea Snake” due to another in-development “Game of Thrones” spin-off called “10000 Ships” , while “we want to avoid a situation where both shows have numbers in their names”.

“Sea Snake” was created by “Rome” “Gotham” creator Bruno Heller and focuses on “Sea Snake” Corlys Velaryon.

He came from the Velaryon family and was a great navigator and businessman. The character will also appear in “House of the Dragon”, played by Steve Toussaint.

“10000 Ships” focuses on Nymeria, the legendary character whose story takes place some 1,000 years before the “Game of Thrones” setting, as well as the stories of House Martell and Sunspear
