Netflix will adapt Elin Hilderbrand’s ‘The New York Times’ best-selling novel ‘The Perfect Couple’ into a limited series of six episodes.
The drama is a suspenseful thriller about the heroine, Celeste Otis, who will marry the perfect man on July 4, who happens to come from one of Nantucket’s wealthiest families, and whose groom’s parents have spared no expense in hosting a lavish wedding at their beachfront estate.
But what was supposed to be the “wedding of the year” was thwarted by an accident when a body was found floating in the harbor in the morning and everyone at the party suddenly became a suspect.
When Sheriff Ed Kapenash comes to solve the case, after taking turns interviewing the bride, the groom, the groom’s famous suspense novelist mother, and even members of his own family, he discovers that every wedding is a minefield – no couple is perfect.
