Ariana DeBose (“West Side Story”) joins the new Sony Marvel film “Kraven the Hunter” as villain Calypso.
Calypso is a voodoo priestess who confuses her enemies with poisonous gas and spells, resurrecting the dead as well as bringing herself back to life.
The film stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kraven, Fred Hechinger as villain Chameleon, Russell Crowe also stars, JC Chandor (“Triple Frontier” “A Most Violent Year”), Art Marcum & Matt Holloway (“Men in Black 4” “Bumblebee” ) and Richard Wenk (“The Mechanic” “The Equalizer”) to write the script, which opens in North America on January 13 next year.
Kraven is one of Spider-Man’s toughest enemies and one of the founders of the Sinister Six.

His real name is Sergei Kravinoff. He is a descendant of Russian aristocracy. He is keen on hunting, and is good at armed and fighting. Through the mysterious potion, he can obtain extraordinary strength, speed, and reaction ability, and can slow down the aging process.
Chameleon and Kraven are half-brothers whose real name is Dmitri Smerdyakov, a master disguise who can imitate almost anyone.
