A24 has picked up the distribution rights to Northern America for the new film “Aftersun” starring Paul Mescal and Frankie Corio, which received positive reviews after its Cannes premiere.
“Aftersun”, written and directed by Charlotte Wells, tells Sophie reflecting on a holiday she spent with her father 20 years ago, as the two share joy and private melancholy.
As she tries to reconcile the father she knows with the other side of him she doesn’t, real and imagined memories fill the gap between the two.
