A black TV director and his wife were inexplicably insulted by a white policeman for driving illegally; the police who seemed to be condemned saved the black woman who had been insulted by him at the most critical moment; an honest Persian The owner of the shop almost murdered the Mexican locksmith (Michael Pena) with tattoos; the district attorney (Brendan Fraser) and his wife (Sandra Bullock) were robbed of the jeep and could only vent their grievances to the innocent repairer. On the locksmith; the black policeman (Don Cheadle) is threatened by his boss and anxiously looking for his brother.

All these seemingly unrelated trivial matters were entangled in an unexpected way within 36 hours, and they were staged on the streets of Los Angeles, a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural metropolis famous for violence, sex, and money…
