Warner Bros. Discovery’s executives make a major adjustment, or set up DC Studios

According to “The Hollywood Reporter” news, the successful merger of Warner Bros. Discovery has made a major adjustment to the top management, responsible for Warner Bros. Entertainment, Inc. and New Line Pictures for nearly 30 years Toby Emmerich stepped down, former MGM executive Illingworth Michael Illingworth De Luca and Pam Abdy take over.

Toby Emmerich will set up his own company and reach a production cooperation agreement with Warner, which will be responsible for movies, American TV series and streaming media works.

Emmerich has been working at Warner since 1992. Earlier, he served as the chairman of New Line Films, and later served as Warners COO. In 2017, he became the head of Warners Film Group.

Under his leadership, Warner Bros. has grossed $5.57 billion worldwide, creating blockbuster films like “Aquaman” and award-winning films like “A Star Is Born‎” and “Joker”.

According to reports, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav intends to refer to the strategy of former Disney CEO Bob Iger and divide the company’s business into three branches, each of which has its own leader, and the leaders of each branch report directly to him.

Earlier, it was also disclosed by the media that Warner would imitate Marvel Studios and set up DC Studios.

Warner Bros. & New Line Cinema: Led by DeLuca and Abdy.

DC Studios: Prior to the reorganization, Walter Hamada was temporarily headed, reporting to DeLuca and Abdy.

Warner Bros. Animation: No leadership selection has been announced yet.
