“The Matrix Resurrections” score released, IMDB currently scores 7.3

The sci-fi masterpiece “The Matrix” series is definitely a classic in the hearts of many movie fans, especially “The Matrix 3: Matrix Revolution” that year’s global gross box office reached 741.8 million US dollars.

“The Matrix 3: Matrix Revolution” has maintained the highest box office record for R-rated movies in global film history for 13 years.

The sequel “The Matrix Resurrections” will continue to be directed by Lana Wachowski, one of the Wachowski sisters of the old trilogy director.

Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Jada Pinkett Smith will all return to star.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Neil Patrick Harris, Priyanka Chopra, Jonathan Groff, etc. have newly joined.

The plot of “The Matrix Resurrections” succeeds “The Matrix 3: Matrix Revolution”, and Neo (Keanu Reeves) and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) return to the matrix.

Here, one is the daily world created by the matrix, and the other is the real human world hidden behind it.

In order to find out whether the “reality” he was in was true or false, Neo had to make a choice again.

The film’s screenwriter David Mitchell once said: “The Matrix Resurrections” is not just a sequel, but a very independent film.

“The Matrix Resurrections” covers the previous three “The Matrix” in a truly clever way.

It can be said that this film is wonderful and weird. It also realizes some content that we can’t see in action movies. It also means that it subverts the conventional concept of blockbuster movies.

“The Matrix Resurrections” has been released first in some countries, and the current IMDB score is 7.3.

At the same time, the evaluation of some film critics also came out.

The evaluation of “The Matrix Resurrections” in Japan is a bit polarized, with a Yahoo score of 2.97 on a 5-point scale.

Through the rating details, we can see that the 5-point film review accounted for 36%, but 1/3 of the Japanese audience gave 1 point.

Such an evaluation really makes fans who look forward to “The Matrix Resurrections” feel mixed. However, the official media reputation of the film is expected to be lifted around the weekend.

I personally feel that there is no need to look at this sequel from the perspective of the old trilogy. After all, the starting point of the previous game was too high, and it must be difficult to surpass.

Lower expectations and treat “The Matrix Resurrections” as an ordinary science fiction movie. It might be good.
