Netflix TV series ‘The Sandman’ officially trailer, “Dreams don’t die”

 Neil Gaiman’s classic comic book ‘The Sandman’ for DC has revealed its official trailer at SDCC 2022. It is said to be the most expensive DC series to date and will be online on Netflix on August 5.

The show is about: whenever people fall asleep, they will come to the world called “dream world”, ‘Dream King’ (Tom Sturridge) in here to build people’s deepest fears and fantasies.

But Dream King was accidentally taken captive and imprisoned for a century, his disappearance set off a series of turmoil, but also completely change the dream world and the world of people.

In order to restore order, he travels through time and space, traveling between the two worlds, trying to make up for all the mistakes he has made for so long.

In the process, he not only re-examines the relationship with his former enemies and friends, but also meets the gods and mortals of the universe whom he has never met.

Since the 1990s, Hollywood has been trying to develop a movie based on the comic. Warner Films tried to work on it, but unfortunately, it was ill-fated, with writer Jack Thorne, original director and star Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and screenwriter Eric Heisserer announcing their withdrawal one after another.

This version of ‘The Sandman’ will be penned and run by Allan Heinberg (‘Wonder Woman’), with Neil Gaiman and David Goyer as executive producers, both of whom were previously involved in the development of the film version.

‘The Sandman’ comic book by DC Comics subsidiary Vertigo began publishing in 1989, telling the story of the legend of Dream Morpheus. Until 1996, a total of 75 volumes were published.

The Sandman’ has won the “World Fantasy Award”, made the “The New York Times” best-selling comic book list, and was named by ‘Entertainment Weekly’ as one of the “100 best books of 1983-2008″. The New York Times’ best-selling comic book list and ‘Entertainment Weekly”s “100 Best Reads 1983-2008”.
