‘Modigliani’: Johnny Depp to direct film again after 25 years, spotlighting Italian painter and sculptor Amedeo Modigliani

Johnny Depp will direct another film after 25 years, directing a feature film ‘Modigliani’, focusing on Italian painter & sculptor Amedeo Modigliani.

Depp also produced the film, along with Al Pacino and others. The script is based on a play by Dennis McIntyre about Modigliani in 1916, set in a “tumultuous, volatile” two-day period.

The film is scheduled to start shooting in 2023, and it is not yet known whether Depp will also star.

Previously Depp directed the film ‘The Brave’ in 1997.
