GameSpot/IGN: Netflix’s ‘Resident Evil’ is the best adaptation of the series!

CAPCOM teamed up with Netflix to launch a new ‘Resident Evil’ TV series, the current Season 1 of the general evaluation is low, Rotten Tomatoes audience score of even only 25%.

Interestingly, two veteran gaming and entertainment media outlets – GameSpot and IGN – have praised the episode, calling it the best ‘Resident Evil’ game adaptation of all time.

GameSpot gave the show a 9 out of 10, calling ‘Resident Evil’ a great game to movie.

It tells two stories 14 years apart in parallel, and the effect is surprisingly good. The new characters are perfectly integrated into this terrible world, the ‘Resident Evil’ game appears as a background, and the overall feeling is that this episode belongs to the ‘Resident Evil’ worldview.

However, GameSpot also pointed out that if you are a die-hard fan of the original game, some of the settings in the episode may be difficult to accept.

IGN gave the show a 7 rating, although the rating is not high, but they dedicated an article, praised this is the strongest adaptation of the Resident Evil game series to date, many aspects have done the bit.

The episode finds a compromise between the original concept and homage to the original film, appealing to both long-time fans of the game and viewers who have only seen Anderson’s version of the ‘Resident Evil’ movie.

While the quality of the dual narrative is at times high and low, the way the episode creates new content based on the original game is amazing and a feast for Albert Wesker fans.
