After the legendary film official announced the filming of “Dune 2”, director Denis Villeneuve recently told Entertainment Weekly that he wanted to make three movies.
He wanted to shoot the second book “Dune Messiah” as well, and finish Paul’s story.

Denis Villeneuve said: “It’s not that I want to shoot a series, but this is “Dune”. “Dune” is a huge story. To respect it, I think I have to shoot at least three films. This is my dream. The storyline of Paul Atreides will be great after filming…. Herbert has written six books, and the more he writes, the more psychedelic he writes. Some of them I don’t know how to make movies. One by one, so if I can I was lucky to shoot “Dune 2” and “Dune Messiah”!”
In the six “Dune” novels written by Frank Herbert himself, the story becomes more and more exaggerated later, for example, Paul’s son Leto II becomes a sandworm.
