“Cinema Paradiso” will be filmed for TV series

The classic film ‘Cinema Paradiso’ is being developed in a feature version, with the film director Giuseppe Tornatore returning to direct & write the screenplay and Marco Belardi (‘Perfetti sconosciuti’) producing, and is currently looking for a streaming home in the US.

It is said that the drama version of ‘Cinema Paradiso’ will be a high-spec production, telling the same story as the film version, but will expand on it, will add different narrative threads, a total of six episodes, is expected to be broadcast in 2023.

Released in 1988, the film focuses on the life and love story of Toto, a man who grew up loving movies.
