Deadline recently reported exclusively that Sony has created a ‘Days Gone’ live-action movie, with Scottish actor Sam Heughan playing the male lead, Deacon St. John.
After the news broke, former creators of ‘Days Gone’ John Garvin and Jeff Ross publicly expressed their disappointment with the casting.
Not because Sam Heughan himself was bad, but they were convinced that Sam Witwer, the actor who provided motion capture and face models for Deacon in the game, was better suited.
Jeff Ross tweeted.
It’s ridiculous that they didn’t get Sam Witwer, who has the right size, look and acting chops.
Witwer has acted in a number of films and TV series, including ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ ‘Strike Back’ ‘Justice League: Throne of Atlantis’ ‘Tales of Halloween’ ‘Being Human’ ‘Gamer’ ‘Pathology’ and more.
