The new “The Color Purple” cast lineup revealed, the film will be directed by Sam Blitz Bazawule

Recently, Oprah Winfrey, who won the Oscar nomination for his outstanding performance in the original “The Color Purple” movie, announced the cast list of the new version of “The Color Purple” to the outside world.

Eventually, Colman Domingo, Danielle Brooks, Halle Bailey, Corey Hawkins, singer H.E.R., and Taraji P. Henson will all join the shoot for “The Color Purple.”

The director of the film is Sam Blitz Bazawule, best known for “The Burial Of Kojo” and “Black Is King”.

It is reported that the new version of “The Color Purple” will be adapted from the musical of the same name, and it does not have much connection with the original film.

Filming will begin in March 2022 in Georgia, USA.
