Nintendo officially announced today (April 26) that the current period of their “Super Mario” film with Illumination will be delayed, and Shigeru Miyamoto himself announced the news.
In a statement, Shigeru Miyamoto expressed his apologies to fans and players who were looking forward to it, and assured that all the waiting was worth it.
The postponed “Super Mario” animated film will be released in Japan on April 28, 2023, and in Northern America on April 7, 2023.
