Sandra Bullock action comedy ‘The Lost City’ tops North American weekend box office

Last weekend, the North American film market box office champion was won by the new film “The Lost City”.

“The Lost City,” starring Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum, Daniel Radcliffe, and others, grossed $31 million in its North American opening weekend and was the only North American film to hit $30 million last weekend.

It set Paramount Pictures’ second-highest opening weekend since the pandemic (the winner was “A Quiet Place: Part II‎”).

“The Batman,” starring Robert Pattinson, was No. 2 at the North American weekend box office with $20.5 million.

As of yesterday, “The Batman” has grossed $332 million in North America. It surpassed “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”‘s $330 million mark and rose to No. 22 on the superhero movie North American box office chart.

At the same time, “The Batman” received another 25 million US dollars at the overseas box office, with a cumulative overseas box office of 341 million US dollars and a global total of 673 million US dollars.

The Indian film “RRR” earned US$9.5 million at the North American box office in its first weekend, taking the third place in the North American weekend box office list and setting the highest opening record for an Indian film in North America.

RRR reportedly cost a whopping $120 million, making it the highest-budget film ever made in India.

“Uncharted” took fourth place on the North American weekend box office chart with $5 million.

Another non-English movie “Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie” theatrical version of North America’s second weekend box office 4.57 million, won the fifth North American weekend box office.

The box office totaled 27.71 million US dollars in 10 days of North American release.
