“Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile”: Shawn Mendes joins film to voice Crocodile Lyle

Recently, Sony’s new film “Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile” has identified itself as an actor dubbing Crocodile. Ultimately, Canadian singer Shawn Mendes will voice the key role.

In addition, Javier Bardem, Constance Wu, Winslow Fegley will also appear in “Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile”.

Behind the scenes, director duo Will Speck and Josh Gordon (“Office Christmas Party”, “Blades of Glory”) will direct the film, and “Johnny English” and “Puss in Boots” screenwriter William Davies will write the screenplay.

“La La Land” and “The Greatest Showman” award-winning musicians Benj Pasek and Justin Paul will write original songs for the film.

It is reported that “Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile” will be adapted from Bernard Waber’s children’s book of the same name, and it focuses on the reptile Lyle who lives on East 88th Street in New York. He loves helping the Primms with their daily chores and playing with the neighbours’ kids, and is the happiest crocodile of all the family – until one neighbour insists Lyle should be sent to the zoo.

Mr Grumps and his cat Loretta don’t like crocodiles, and Lyle has done everything to win their hearts, but it all seems to fail.

Lyle will use all his charm and courage to reveal that it’s not as bad as they first thought, and that behind the giant crocodile’s smile lies a hero and friend.

Currently, “Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile” is set for release in North America on November 18.
