‘John Wick’ spin-off ‘The Continental‎’ to move from Starz to Peacock, expected to launch next year

The popular action thriller series ‘John Wick’ spin-off ‘The Continental‎’ has shifted its broadcast platform from Starz to Peacock and is expected to go live next year.

The 3-part series, which began development in 2018, explores the origin story and inner workings of the Intercontinental Hotel used for the killer’s refuge in the film.

Based on the character of Ian McShane, ‘The Continental’ unfolds from the perspective of a young Winston Scott: Winston travels to 1975 New York and confronts a past he thought he had forgotten. In order to take control of the famous hotel, Winston charts a deadly course through the mysterious underworld of New York.

Colin Woodell (“Ambulance” “The Flight Attendant”) as Winston, Ayomide Adegun as Charon, Peter Greene (“Law & Order”) as Uncle Charlie, Mel Gibson as Cormac, Ben Robson (“Animal Kingdom”) as Frankie, Hubert Point-Du Jour (“The Good Lord Bird‎”) as Miles, Jessica Allain (“The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”) as Lou, Mishel Prada (“Vida”) as KD and Nhung Kate as Yen.

Greg Coolidge & Kirk Ward (‘Wayne’) serve as writers, operators and executive producers, with Albert Hughes (‘Alpha’) directing episodes one and three, Charlotte Brandstrom (‘The Witcher’) directing episode two, and film directors David Leitch, Chad Stahelski and screenwriter Derek Kolstad executive produce.
