Guillermo del Toro’s ‘Pinocchio’ to have world premiere at BFI London Film Festival

A few days ago, Guillermo del Toro’s version of ‘Pinocchio’, confirmed the world premiere of the film. It is reported that the film will have its world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival, which will be held from October 5 to 16. The full schedule has not been revealed yet.

According to previous reports, this film will be an adaptation of the original fairy tale of ‘Pinocchio’, which is similar to Guillermo del Toro’s previous ‘El laberinto del fauno’.

In Guillermo del Toro’s adaptation, Pinocchio’s adventure is actually a phantasmagoria, The Fairy with Turquoise Hair is the ghost of a dead girl, and the adventure can be gut-wrenching.

As for the voice actors, Pinocchio’s voice work will be handed over to young actor Gregory Mann.

In the supporting cast, David Bradley, Finn Wolfhard, John Turturro, Tim Blake Nelson and Burn Gorman will all appear in the film.

In Guillermo del Toro’s plan, this work is a stop-motion animation. Stop-motion animation has performed very generally at the box office over the years, so ‘Pinocchio’ had previously suffered from abortive filming and delayed for more than a decade.

After the festival, according to the schedule, the film will be released in November and streamed in December.
