‘Greyhound‎’ will be filmed for a sequel, Tom Hanks is working with Apple again

In 2020, “Greyhound‎” starring Tom Hanks received critical acclaim upon its launch on Apple Streaming. The film became one of Apple’s most-watched movies.

Two years later, Apple is gearing up for a sequel to “Greyhound‎”.

At present, there is no specific shooting arrangement for the film, but according to the cooperation system between Apple and Hanks, this will be a very interesting film.

In addition, Hanks and Steven Spielberg will collaborate with Apple on “Masters of the Air‎,” which tells the story of World War II air combat.

“Greyhound‎” is based on the non-fiction novel “The Good Shepherd” by C.S. Forester and tells the story of 37 Allied ships passing through the North Atlantic in 1942, led by Greyhound‎ commander Ernest Krause (played by Tom Hanks).

This is the first time Ernest Krause has commanded a destroyer, and when he is pursued by a group of Nazi submarines, Krause must find a way to escape.

In fact, “Greyhound‎” is not an original film by Apple, and Sony acquired the copyright of the film in 2017.

However, due to the epidemic and other reasons, Sony sold the copyright of the film for $70 million.
