Gamespot scores 6 for ‘The Batman’: Robert Pattinson lacks Batman charm

The media Gamespot gave “The Batman” 6 points. Gamespot said that the film was average, and the starring Robert Pattinson lacked Batman’s charm.

Gamespot said that “The Batman” managed to tell a story in less than half the time, which is unquestionably an achievement considering the film’s staggering three hours.

But over the three-hour run, Batman’s imagery somehow feels both too scattered and too sparse and stacked.

And while Paul Dano’s The Riddler is absolutely creepy, Robert Pattinson is the weak link.

While he does look a lot like Batman, it’s hard to imagine that a dual character like Batman wouldn’t have more ways to express it.

He was sullen, his eyes hollow and angry, his shoulders slumped, and he was completely reluctant to speak under the mask.

  • Well-designed Gotham City with outstanding features is a perfect setting
  • Brilliant performances by Paul Dano (The Riddler), Jeffrey Wright (Chief Gordon), and Zoë Kravitz (Catwoman)
  • This time The Riddler is a new version of the very familiar villain
  • Detective-centric concept is a new idea for Batman movies

-Robert Pattinson lacks charisma in Batman/Bruce Wayne dynamic switching

  • Twists and turns the plot drags on
  • Too many story characters make some characters’ lines feel like random narration
  • Too much use of formulaic POV footage and details are hard to see
  • Predictable Batman tech and like Alfred and Batmobile feel tethered

“The Batman” is 2 hours and 55 minutes long.

Robert Pattinson as Batman, Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Colin Farrell as The Penguin, Matt Reeves directing.

Focus on a young detective Batman: In Bruce Wayne’s second year as Batman, the public still fears this mysterious character, The Riddler, The Penguin also appear, and the story will expose the corruption within Gotham City through a series of murders.

“The Batman” opens in North America on March 4.
