Emily Blunt is not sure if “Edge of Tomorrow” will have a sequel

The sci-fi warfare movie “Edge of Tomorrow” starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt, many people are looking forward to a sequel.

“Edge of Tomorrow” is adapted from the light novel “All You Need Is Kill” published by Japanese novelist Hiroshi Sakurazaka in 2004 and directed by Doug Liman.

The sequel of “Edge of Tomorrow” has not come out for a long time, so viewers can’t help but look forward to and worry about whether there will be a sequel. Perhaps today’s news will answer your doubts.

Although the movie “Edge of Tomorrow” is very well reviewed, and the two leading actors have expressed their willingness to return.

However, Emily Blunt mentioned this issue in an interview with The Howard Stern Show a few days ago.

She said that the budget of the movie “Edge of Tomorrow” is too high, and they currently don’t know how to make the sequel, obviously entering the stage of incomprehension.

However, this sentence actually makes sense.

Because the “Edge of Tomorrow” movie production is as high as 200 million US dollars, but the global box office is only 371 million.

Although this score is not low, considering the popularity of the two leading actors, there should be a higher income.

In addition, due to the epidemic situation, the film industry is also difficult to proceed with the overall process, which also deepens the reason why the sequel is difficult to enter production.

Besides, a high budget means that a lot of time schedule has to be changed. Furthermore, for commercial reasons, the sequel must be sold better than the previous one before it will be released.

But Gang also said that the box office of “Edge of Tomorrow” was not ideal, so since there are so many factors to consider at the moment.

Therefore, it is indeed difficult for “Edge of Tomorrow” to produce a sequel.

I wonder if you think “Edge of Tomorrow” can have a sequel smoothly? Welcome to talk about your thoughts~
