Film review:

“Death on the Nile” will take a while to get started, but it will eventually come.

Los Angeles Times: Branagh clearly loves the character (Detective Poirot), and while recreating his famously fussy demeanor, he continues to touch his emotional core beneath that dainty white suit and beard.

USA Today: This event took place on a steamship rather than a train, but still derailed, the suspense setting dragged on and the reveal rushed.

“The Hollywood Reporter”: The film is satisfactory enough, although more of a flashy, old-fashioned entertainment than a subtle mystery.

“The Weekend Warrior”: There are some issues with the pacing, but the film is visually stunning, the ensemble is great, and the third act is sure to get Agatha Christie fans excited.

Flickering Myth: Murder Myth is supposed to keep you from wanting to miss every scene, not boring enough to fidget, dry, and really need a better cast.
