The new classic horror series ‘Halloween Ends’ opens in Northern America this week, with $5.4 million in Thursday advance screenings, up from $4.9 million for last year’s predecessor, and a three-day weekend expected to collect $50 million +.
The first film of the 2018 reboot grossed a record $76.2 million in its first week and accumulated over $250 million worldwide.
After 45 years, the story of Laurie Strode vs. the murderous Michael Myers will come to an end, with Jamie Lee Curtis continuing to star and David Gordon Green continuing to direct. The plot follows directly on from the 2018 version of ‘Halloween’ and the subsequent ‘Halloween Kills’, which opens in Northern America on October 14 and streams simultaneously on Peacock.
