‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”s $180 million was 10% lower than 2018’s ‘Black Panther”s $202 million, but still set the Northern America market’s November opening record, surpassing 2013’s ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire‎’ $158 million.

In the entire Northern America film history, this opening performance can also be ranked to 13th. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe Solo movie, this opening score ranked fourth.

‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ has an 84% freshness rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 95% popcorn score, while ‘Black Panther’ scores 96% and 79%, respectively.

According to CinemaScore survey, ticket buyers gave ‘Black Panther : Wakanda Forever’ an A, the best performance among the superhero movies released this year.

‘The Batman’ is A-, ‘DC League of Super-Pets’ A-, ‘Black Adam’ (B+), ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ and ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ are all B+. It is worth mentioning that ‘Black Panther’ was originally rated A+.

From the market conditions and film feedback, this sequel should not be able to catch up with ‘Black Panther’ $700 million Northern America box office.

Plus the inability to release in mainland China and the inability to shake the $1.346 billion global box office of the first film, only to aim for the $955 million of ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ and the $760 million of ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’.

Because ‘Black Panther : Wakanda Forever’ was so strong, the other movies on the chart all made less than 10 million at the weekend box office.

Black Adam’ got $8.6 million in its fourth week of release to rank second, with Northern America accumulating $151 million and $352 million worldwide.

‘Ticket To Paradise’ ranked third with $6.1 million in its fourth week of release, Northern America accumulated $56.51 million and $149 million worldwide.

Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile’ ranked fourth with $3.2 million in its sixth week of release, Northern America accumulated $40.84 million and $72.64 million worldwide.

‘Smile’ ranked fifth with $2.33 million in its seventh week of release, Northern America accumulated $102 million and $209 million worldwide.
