BBC Studios’ new work “One Cup, A Thousand Stories” took three years to shoot, covering 13 countries and regions on six continents

Recently, BBC Studios’ new work “One Cup, A Thousand Stories” held a media sharing session in Beijing and announced that the film will be exclusively available on MiGu video on October 15.

“One Cup, A Thousand Stories” is jointly created by MiGu and BBC Studios. It brings together Chinese and Western perspectives and presents to the audience the important role and far-reaching influence of tea culture in the process of Chinese and even global civilization.

“One Cup, A Thousand Stories” has 6 episodes, each 50 minutes.

The documentary is narrated in English by Hugh Bonneville, a famous British actor who has appeared in “Downton Abbey” and “Paddington”.

“One Cup, A Thousand Stories” will lead the audience to deeply explore the history, culture and future of tea.

This landmark blue chip series has a global perspective and took three years to complete. It was filmed in 13 countries and regions on six continents.

The filming team told a total of 30 unique tea stories in “One Cup, A Thousand Stories”. Each episode was developed from a different cultural perspective, telling the audience the unique story of tea around the world.

From the Deang tribe who uncovered the secrets of tea, to the creation of an exquisite afternoon tea ceremony in the UK.

From Mongolian nomads who regard milk tea as a medium of belief in their hearts, to pearl milk tea, which combines the flavors of five continents, is popular all over the world.

“One Cup, A Thousand Stories” is a brand new attempt to meet the ever-increasing visual and spiritual needs of Chinese audiences.

While becoming another masterpiece of documentary reputation, it will also set off another wave of Chinese traditional culture.

“One Cup, A Thousand Stories” is produced by BBC Studios, produced by MiGu video, and BBC Studios is responsible for international distribution.

Will be exclusively launched on MiGu Video on October 15th.

During the Chinese New Year in 2022, the film “One Cup, A Thousand Stories” will also be launched on the BBC Earth Asia Channel to showcase the brilliant Chinese tea culture to a global audience.
