Marvel is opposed by many special effects workers: too bad management, too little compensation

According to media reports, a number of special effects workers who worked for Marvel expressed strong dissatisfaction and criticism of their former employer, Marvel.

In the VFX section of the foreign forum Reddit, many special effects workers expressed strong dissatisfaction with Marvel’s “unrealistic deadlines, tremendous mental stress, and consistently unsatisfactory final results” and other aspects of the practice.

Some workers said Marvel has “the worst visual effects management in the industry”, “pay and pay for the workload is not equal”, also mentioned their own work schedule and even marriage pressure because of the work of Marvel and refused to work with Marvel again in the future.

“Marvel probably has the worst approach to visual effects production and management, and until halfway through the project they can’t decide what the whole thing should look like.”

“I’m working on a third project with Marvel, and the fact that I’m waking up at 5:30 a.m. on a Saturday morning with stress, I don’t want to go on.”

“It took me over six months to recover from the stress of ”WandaVision.” It wasn’t worth it. Especially when there are better-running projects in the industry and they (are) in as good a shape as they seem.”
