“Eternals”: Why is the lowest rated Marvel movie so uncomfortable?

All things in the world, from countries to companies to individuals, are in dynamic change, either for the better or for the worse.

The same is true for the Marvel Universe.

Since its birth in 2008, this movie universe has changed from initial obscurity to a Big Mac worth tens of billions of dollars in IP.

At this point, some people should ask questions, so is the Marvel Universe getting better or worse now?

In fact, as of Avengers 4, the Marvel Universe is arguably getting better and better.

However, the so-called extremes will reverse, and the mountains behind the peaks are often the abyss.

The same is true of the Marvel Universe. If you count all the movies after “Avengers 4”, it can only be said that it has already begun to decline.

For example, from the movie “Eternals”, we can see the changes before and after Marvel very clearly.

First of all, what type of film and television is the positioning of Marvel movies?

Popcorn movies, commercial movies, they win with special effects and action.

The audience won’t think about what life insights or what they have learned in the film. They will only think about relaxing and watching super heroes fight monsters. It’s very simple and pure.

However, Marvel after “Avengers 4” has deviated from this position more and more, adding too many unnecessary elements to the film, and finally reached an unacceptable level in this “Eternals” .

The biggest feature of the film “Eternals” is that it has added a lot of controversial plots to the film.

In addition, there is political correctness.

Play the role of Eternals aliens, white, black, Asian, Latino, Arab, and so on. There are also disabled, txl and other elements.

You can basically say that “Eternals” is “all the things that should be there”, and it seems to take care of the various groups on the surface.

Well, fans just want to see special effects, see superhero fights, and get stuck on their heads to watch this politically correct stuff?

In fact, in the early years, Marvel has always tried to avoid too many “off-site factors” in its own films.

For example, in 2013’s “Iron Man 3”, there were many North American fans who hoped that Manchu would appear as the villain of the movie.

But Marvel Studios did not let the character come out in the end, just let a fake come out for a laugh and it was over.

why?

Because they also know what the character represents, and don’t want to make any extras.

That’s a very sensible approach. Commercial films must do their part as commercial films, so what are they going to do with so many unnecessary elements?

So why have purely commercial films at the time become a tool for certain groups to promote their political demands?

In fact, the reason is very simple. Nowadays, the struggle between countries is becoming more and more fierce.

In terms of film and television, due to its strong output capability and huge output range, it has long become an indispensable weapon in this “war”.

Don’t say that this movie is just an individual’s problem, in fact, Marvel Studios has extremely strict control over its directors.

If the Marvel executives don’t nod, it is absolutely impossible for the production staff to shoot all of these.

I believe you all understand what this represents.

Interestingly, audiences all over the world, including those in the United States, are basically disgusted by this kind of behavior.

On the Rotten Tomatoes website in the United States, the “Eternals” freshness index is only 48%, which is the last one in the Marvel Universe.

“Eternals” was banned in many countries in the Middle East due to the elements of txl involved in the film.

A good movie, why add these extra plots?

In the past, Marvel did not dare to do this, because it is still in development, so it strives not to offend audiences in most regions.

Today’s Marvel movies often break box office records casually, and then it’s arrogant.

Now that it has done so, it has come at a price, and the box office of “Eternals” can be said to be hard to say, or to put it simply, the film’s results are terrible.

The production cost of “Eternals” is as high as 200 million US dollars, and the details of the publicity expenses exceed more than 100 million US dollars.

And it is also a movie involving the Marvel world view, and finally its global box office was only 400 million US dollars,

According to the popular saying that the box office is more than 3 times the cost to make a profit, think about how much “Eternals” lost?

Of course, Marvel now has a lot of money and doesn’t care about the box office.

However, since the setting and story of “Eternals” itself involves the worldview of the entire Marvel universe, it is obvious that these potential effects cannot be ignored.

Specifically, the movie itself is basically useless, nothing to watch.

Is the special effect of “Eternals” good? Really good.

However, because the film’s action scenes are too poorly designed, and many plots that are not logically consistent, it is extremely embarrassing.

For example, when watching “Iron Man”, the audience cheered for Tony Stark’s mind and hands-on ability, and yearned for his continuous pursuit of technology.

Secondly, the most frustrating thing is the setting of this movie, “Eternals” is equivalent to directly knocking down the elements of the Marvel Universe that have excited audiences over the years.

According to “Eternals”, the various technological and scientific developments of human beings on earth are given by these so-called gods.

In addition, the most unacceptable thing for the audience is of course the plot of the black man kneeling in the film.

There are two Japanese writers in the screenwriter of this film. When they were interviewed, they even expressed their hope that this episode would make people all over the world reflect on the tragedy that the Japanese people suffered.

Okay, what’s the point of reflection?

Reflect on what?

What did you Japanese do?

Regarding the various actions of Japan in the past, it is completely self-inflicted to get such consequences, and people need to reflect on it?

Even though Japan is the perpetrator, they always want to describe themselves as the victim. Japanese works always carry all kinds of private goods, and even they still look righteous.

This is really frustrating and disgusting.

If the countless people who were sleeping in East Asia and Southeast Asia at the time saw that they are now turning black and white, it is estimated that they would jump out of anger and settle accounts with them.

Therefore, the reason why the movie “Eternals” hit the street can be said to be self-inflicted.
