Anonymous ‘Batgirl’ actor slams Warners CEO: His cowardice is breathtaking

Recently, Warner decided to cancel the already killed DC superhero movie ‘Batgirl’ release plan, the film cost in 90-100 million dollars.

In response, one actor made some comments in an interview on condition of anonymity: “For an idiot like (Warner CEO David Zaslav), he’s breathtakingly cowardly. I’m glad to be a part of it, and I wish all the best to all involved – except for the Warner Bros. executives, who will all step down sooner or later.”

“I’m very angry about what happened and angry for the director and Leslie Grace (star), who all got along with the cast and crew,” the unnamed actor said. “It was a huge challenge to make this movie in the bitter cold.”

The axing of ‘Batgirl’ provoked such strong opposition that DC Pictures president Walter Hamada almost left the company because of the film’s axing. According to media reports, Hamada was not even aware of the news when it was broken by the ‘New York Post’, and he only learned of the news through the media.

In addition to ‘Batgirl’, according to sources, projects such as ‘Supergirl’, ‘Wonder Twins’ and ‘Blue Beetle’ are also likely to be cut.

This has since been explained by Warner CEO David Zaslav: “We’re not releasing any movies until we’re ready. We think we can build a long-term, stronger sustainable growth business in DC. As part of that, we will focus on quality.”

This seems to imply that ‘Batgirl’ was cut because of the poor response to the film from test audiences.
