“Dawn of the Dead‎” Review: A zombie movie with a good sense of rhythm, the leader in zombie movies

Today I recommend a bloody and scary zombie movie “Dawn of the Dead‎”. “Dawn of the Dead‎”, released in 2004, was directed by Zack Snyder and starred Sarah Polley, Ving Rhames, Jake Weber and Mekhi Phifer.

The film is somewhat homage to the 1978 film of the same name, but the overall standard is higher.

The flexible use of background music makes the atmosphere in the early and middle and late stages of the film more terrifying, and although the characters and stories are unavoidable from the mainstream zombie movies, it makes people see the shining points of humanity in crisis.

Even viewers who have watched zombie films all over, can still feel the sincerity of this film.

The beginning of the story is very simple. Ana (Sarah Polley), a nurse who just got off the night shift, returned home, but was accidentally attacked by zombies.

After her husband is killed, Ana rushes to drive away. She encounters black police officer Kenneth (Ving Rhames) and other partners, and begins to wait for an impossible rescue in a department store.

The highlight of this film is that it gives hope first and then hits hard.

The most classic scene is the black hooligan who wanted to see the birth of his child, and even concealed his wife’s experience of being attacked by zombies.

But after the wife turned into a zombie, she gave birth to a child, but only gave birth to a zombie daughter.

The owner of a gun shop next door to the “Zombie Girl” is the owner of a gun shop next door. After many days of starvation, he finally waited for the food delivered by the dog from the department store.

But in the process of getting the food, he was bitten by a zombie, and the sharpshooter who held on for so many days still turned into a zombie.

Of course, as a zombie movie, the least important thing is the armed bus.

Thanks to such a magical place in a department store, where any materials can be found, the film also has a classic bus crashing into a zombie scene.

In addition to those common scenes, the use of gas tanks is very novel, and it also adds a lot of explosion scenes to the film. It is a rare explosion element in zombie films, which is very interesting.

The character composition of the film is really classic. The wise, the foolish, the selfish, the incompetent and the philanthropist are all representative.

There are both the crisis brought by human nature and the kindness of human nature.

At the end, the wisest TV salesman was bitten by a zombie and consciously stayed where he was without affecting other people. The sadness and despair really showed on the screen.

However, the other escapees did not end well either. The overall story of the film is rather pessimistic. The escapees also encountered many zombies, and their life and death are uncertain.

Although the zombie movie seems to be a bit of a bad street now, the rhythm of this movie and the portrayal of each character are very good. In my opinion, it is the leader in zombie movies.

Although it is not comparable to the “Resident Evil” series in terms of special effects and layout, the horror of being attacked by zombies in the early and middle stages is indeed very powerful and scary.

Apart from all kinds of bloody scenes, this film contains quite a lot of restricted-level elements.

Before watching this movie, it is best to think about whether you can accept those disgusting zombie close-ups and other exciting things. Girls are better not to watch this movie.
