“Fast and Furious 9” won the best score since 2020 in North America, with a global box office of nearly 300 million, becoming the fifth highest box office film series in the world.

It has been more than a month since “Fast and Furious 9” was released in mainland China, and the film has been late in North America this weekend.

“Fast and Furious 9” received $7.1 million in the box office of 3,100 theaters in North America on Thursday, the best result since the outbreak last year.

"Fast and Furious 9" won the best score since 2020 in North America, with a global box office of nearly 300 million, becoming the fifth highest box office film series in the world.

“Fast and Furious 9” also surpassed the same series of “Hobbs and Shaw” (5.8 million), but not as good as “Fast and Furious 7” (15.8 million), “Fast and Furious 8” (10.4 million), “Fast and Furious 6” (7.5 million).

“Fast and Furious 9” will be expanded to 4179 theaters on Friday morning.

This is also the largest since the reopening of Cinema Today in North America. The box office of the film is expected to be 60-70 million on the first three days of the film.

The film’s window period for theatrical screening is about 6 weeks, after which it will be launched on the online on-demand platform.

Soon, Hollywood’s long-awaited blockbuster “Black Widow” will also land on the North American theaters on July 9.

But unlike “Fast and Furious 9”, “Black Widow” will be released in theaters/on Disney+ during the same period (members will have to pay an additional $30).

Chinese director Lin Yibin directed “Fast and Furious 9”. The film has been released in 23 countries and regions, and the global box office is close to 300 million US dollars.

The “Fast and Furious” series totaled US$6.2 billion in gross box office, surpassing “X-Men” and became the fifth highest grossing film series in the world.
