At Thursday’s investor earnings meeting, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav promised that ‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods,’ ‘The Flash,’ ‘Blue Beetle’ and ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom ‘ All four DC movies will be released in theaters next year.

He also revealed that he and J.K. Rowling are discussing making more ‘Harry Potter’ movies, noting that the Superman movies have brought Warner a lot of profit.

David said that for James Gunn and Peter Safran, who recently became co-presidents of DC Pictures, managing DC “is not a job, it’s a passionate career.

He says he has been spending time with them over the past few months. “Gunn and Safran both have strong plans and blueprints, with a more unified and creative creative direction, thus unlocking for us the full value of one of the most powerful IPs in the world.” DC’s ‘The Batman 2’ and ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ are also moving forward, with the latter set to begin shooting next month.

David Zaslav also said he was interested in making various ‘Harry Potter’ movies, but only if he and original author J.K. Rowling come up with something good “We’ll focus on the series, Warner hasn’t made a Superman movie in 13 years and a Harry Potter movie in 15 years. These two series used to bring a lot of profits to Warner.”

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ stage play was rumored to be turned into a movie, ‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone’ director Chris Columbus also volunteered to work on it.

David also said that Warner still has the rights to the big screen adaptation of ‘The Lord of the Rings’.
