Carey Mulligan and Zoe Kazan star in the new film ‘She Said‎’ released Featurette, focusing on an all-female team of journalists investigating the Weinstein sexual harassment series, opening in Northern America on November 18.

The film tells the story of Megan Twohey and Jodi Kantor, two reporters for ‘The New York Times’ who set out to investigate a “game-changing” story that caused an earthquake in Hollywood.

Similar in style to ‘Spotlight’ and ‘All the President’s Men,’ the focus is not on Weinstein and his exploits, but on a team of all-female reporters who weathered the threat of lawsuits and intimidation to cover the story.

The film is directed by Maria Schrader (‘Unorthodox”I am your human’) and written by Rebecca Lenkiewicz (‘Ida”Colette’).

Tom Pelphrey as Twohey’s husband, Samantha Morton as Weinstein’s former assistant Zelda Perkins, who endures his abuse and later finds herself bound by a strict confidentiality agreement, Patricia Clarkson as ‘The New York Times’ investigative department editor, and Andre Braugher as executive editor Dean Baquet.

Weinstein was eventually fired from his own company and sentenced to 23 years in prison for rape after articles about Weinstein’s years of sexual assault and harassment of women came to light on October 5, 2017, triggering an earthquake in Hollywood, with several insiders speaking out and the rise of the ‘MeToo’ and ‘TimesUp’ movements.
