According to media Deadline, DC Films President Walter Hamada has left the company and is waiting for the process and fees to finally go through.

Walter Hamada spent 15 years at Warner Bros. and four years as president of DC Pictures, controlling its DC superhero film and television content.

His departure was finalized some time ago, with sources indicating that he had packed up his office and had not attended creative meetings recently.

Walter Hamada is the fifth executive to leave Warner Bros. Entertainment, Inc. following the recent Warner Bros. Discovery merger.

Sources also say that even before Walter Hamada met with Warner CEO David Zaslav, his days at Warner were destined to be numbered.

Zaslav has publicly expressed his desire to find someone like Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios, to control all of Warner’s DC content, and this person is still in the process of being found, having previously discussed with Chinese-born producer Dan Lin, but ultimately no deal was reached.
